Shopping at Bergamo Airport
The departures terminal at Bergamo airport is fairly small, so you will not find a massive selection of shops on offer. There are though approximately 35 retail shops, and you will find a range of souvenir stores, duty-free goods and fashion accessories. Most of the stores are specialised in Italian goods and fashion, as to be expected when you are in Italy. You will also find some convenience stores where can buy books, newspapers and magazines to keep you entertained on your flight.
The Dufrital Duty Free Shop is one of the largest and most popular stores at the airport, as you can find discounted tobacco, cosmetics, perfume, alcohol and accessories. If you are buying duty-free goods then remember they must be for personal use/consumption. An excessive amount can lead to goods being taken away from you, or you will have to pay duty when you land at your destination airport. It is always recommended to check the duty-free allowances in your home country if you intend to buy a lot of goods.
In addition to the retail shops, you will also find several bars and restaurants. Many restaurants will be specialised in or offer a range of Italian food, but you can find foreign food also. You can find out more details of the places to eat and drink by visiting this page.
The Oriocenter
If you are really into shopping or have a long wait for your flight, you will find is a massive shopping centre, called the Oriocenter, located directly opposite the airport. It has over 280 shops and 14 multiplex cinemas, so it is a great place to pass some time if you have 3 or 4 hours to spare. Don't lose track of time though and miss your flight!
You can find out more about the Oriocentre at www.oriocenter.it.
